From a nucleus of 12 dedicated ministry workers, Great Harvest for Jesus Christian Fellowship was born. Humbly beginning at a member’s garage, church work and community service began to flourish.

A series of relocations due to change in residences caused the work of fulfilling God’s mandate of going and making disciples of all men, physically difficult for the laborers in God’s vineyard to have any lasting and permanent impact in the community, although we believe we have made some significant rippling effect wherever we have trodden upon.

A new and upward call compelled us to metamorphose into a new body with a fresh vision, while retaining the same Spirit and Lordship under Christ.

Today, our name speaks of what we’ve become, Born in Zion Community Church. No longer just a fellowship of believers, but even more pressing is our concern towards the community

We are zealously committed to serve the community by accepting the challenge of responsibly nurturing the underprivileged children to give them opportunity to become socially and morally responsive through our yearly Vacation Bible School and regular Children’s Church.

In preparing our members to teach, training and equipping modules are offered through Zion Extension Classes.

We are also active in fellowship and strengthening one another and supporting the work of the community church through prayer and gifts of help.

  We believe in strengthening the family unit as the scale model of our community church and so continue to nurture them through couples fellowships and family gatherings. We have regular lunch buffet after every church service.

Free medical and dental services and nutritional programs are also part of our commitment to continue to create community support. Future endeavors entail opening our church to feeding programs to the malnourished and the abandoned and hope to continue the work until we see our ministry flourish into an orphanage someday.

  We dream of raising a church-based school to signify our zeal to bring God’s presence into all men’s lives In the spirit of excellence with a blazing passion to witness to them the truths of God’s Word.
